Community Partners and Support
AFM works to provide education and awareness about food, food production, accessibility, nutrition and sustainable living practices. We partner with Wake County and other organizations to make produce, proteins, goods and services available to all members of the community.
SNAP and Double Bucks
Thanks to Wake County support, we're able to offer SNAP, WIC and Double Bucks at the Apex Farmers Market. Double Bucks match the amount allotted by SNAP or WIC so you have more to spend at the market!

Giving Back to the Community
This year our goal is to partner with multiple organizations to give back to the community, especially the elderly and children.
Meals on Wheels
Through donations to the market and support from Wake County's P2P program (Produce to Pantry), we provide donations, purchased from our vendors, to the Apex Meals on Wheels Friendship Cafe at White Oak Foundation.

NeighborUp
Through donations to the market and support from Wake County's P2P program (Produce to Pantry), we provide donations, purchased from our vendors, to NeighborUp (formerly Western Wake Crisis Ministry). We also partner in several ways to benefit both the families they serve and our vendors.

Green Waste Company
Starting on April 5, 2025, we will have a composting bin available at our welcome tent supplied by Green Waste Company.
Their motto is; if it came from the Earth, the Earth needs it back.
In the bin, they accept all organic materials, including paper products like paper towels, shredded paper, pizza boxes.
Items are donated to our partner farms to help cut feedstock and soil costs. Members of our pickup services receive bi-yearly complimentary compost delivery.

At the Market
Through donations to the market and support from Wake County funding, we're able to provide kids toys, kit cards (free to take home), and games at every market.
We provide punch cards at the Welcome Tent, with swag items, like hats, key chains, and magnets, as prizes for every 8 stamps.
We host charitable drives for groups like Rotary Club, Perfectly Imperfect Pups, and community groups in need.
