Our Mission
The Apex Farmers Market and Local Food Alliance is a not-for-profit dedicated to being a resource to the town of Apex and surrounding communities. Our Mission is to provide educational outreach regarding healthful living and the health and economic benefits of consuming locally grown food and supporting locally produced products, while providing farmers and local producers opportunities to directly market their goods and services. Operating the vibrant Apex Farmers Market is one of the ways we fulfill our mission.
Our Market
As a local producers' market, our vendors generally farm or produce their goods within 150 miles of our market, with the exceptions being items that are not available within that radius. It is our privilege to provide our customers with fresh, local homegrown organic and conventional fruits and vegetables, pastured and sustainably farmed chicken, beef and pork, fresh farm eggs, baked goods, honey, cheeses, jams and preserves, sauces, salsas, and other artisanal food products, along with a variety of crafts. We hope you will visit us each Saturday morning during the summer season to share in the bounty, enjoy our family-friendly atmosphere and join us in our commitment to Eat and Buy Local!
Our Outreach
AFM works to provide education and awareness about food, food production, accessibility, nutrition and sustainable living practices. This year our goal is to partner with multiple organizations to give back to the community, especially the elderly and children. Check back for more updates as we kick-off 2024.
