The Apex Farmers Market is a vibrant and growing local producers market, owned and operated by the Apex Farmers Market and Local Food Alliance, a not-for-profit dedicated to beinga resource to the Town of Apex and surrounding communities by providing educational outreach regarding the health and economic benefits of consuming locally grown food and supporting locally produced products, while providing farmers and local producers opportunities to directly market their goods and services.
As a local producers' market, our vendors generally farm or produce their goods within 100 miles of our market, with the exceptions being items that are not available within that radius. It is our privilege to provide our customers with fresh, local homegrown organic and conventional fruits and vegetables, pastured and sustainably farmed chicken, beef and pork, fresh farm eggs, baked goods, honey, cheeses, jams and preserves, sauces, salsas, and other artisanal food products, along with a variety of crafts. We hope you will visit us each Saturday morning during the summer season to share in the bounty, enjoy our family friendly atmosphere and join us in our commitment to Eat and Buy Local!
Where: 220 N. Salem St. Apex, NC 27502
We are located in beautiful historic downtown Apex, in the Chamber of Commerce parking lot.
When: Visit us every Saturday morning, rain or shine mid-April through mid-October 8:30-12:30
*Please note we will be closed during the following events: Peak Fest, Peak City Pig Fest and Apex Music Fest. See Calendar For Up-To-Date schedule.
Parking: Parking is available along N. Salem St. In addition, there is a large public parking lot just across the street from us, right behind the Tobacco & Mule Exchange. If you want to "get moving" and join us in our Roll or Stroll program, you might consider parking at the Hunter St. park and taking the short walk over.Bring Your Own Bag - In order to save on paper and plastic and be more environmentally friendly, we encourage you to bring your own bag or basket to the market. Many of our vendors provide bags, as well.Bring Cash and Small Bills - It is helpful to our vendors if you bring small denomination bills and cash. Many of our vendors also accept checks and credit cards.
SNAP/EBT Program - We accept SNAP benefits at the market. Visit the market Welcome Tent to purchase wooden coins with your SNAP card which can be used at our vendors' booths where SNAP can be used.
ATM Machine - Visit the market Welcome Tent where we can run your debit card and provide you with wooden coins that can be used like cash with any vendor.
Roll Or Stroll Program - Bike or walk to the market for a chance to win Market Bucks you can spend with any vendor at the market. Learn more....
Dogs - Friendly dogs are allowed at the market, as long as they are restrained on a short leash at all times. For health and sanitary reasons, please keep dogs at least 10 feet from all food vendor booths and be sure to clean up after them. Also, remember that our market is attended by a large number of people and not everyone is comfortable around animals. If there are any issues with your dog, you will be asked to remove the pet from the market.
