Babka anyone? Small Batch Baking Company's babka is not your bubbe's babka but a reinterpretation of the old-world, yeast-based bread for modern tastes in flavors like blueberry cinnamon, chocolate raspberry and chocolate cappuccino. At the market they'll be offering a more convenient version of the traditional loaf, packing loads of flavor into a snack-sized treat. It satisfies your taste buds in two or three bites -- and at the same time, makes you feel like you just received a warm embrace from your grandmother. Small Batch Baking Co will be joining us a guest vendor this season.
Pasta!!! Using traditional recipes and methods learned in Italy, Melina's Fresh Pasta produces fresh pasta, ravioli, gnocchi and sauces using fresh and local ingredients. After 30 some odd years of watching her mother cook authentic Italian food, and a trip to Italy to go to pasta making school in Bologna, Carmella decided to share her special knowledge about traditional Italian cooking and food back here. All of her products are prepared in small batches using fresh local or imported ingredients when authenticity requires it. No preservatives. No excess levels of sodium. No chemicals.
